ROM: Golden Age features four elements: Fire, Water, Wind, and Earth. Characters can gain elemental attack and resistance stats through various means including equipment and codex effects.
Like characters, monsters also possess elemental attacks, and you can check the attack elements of monsters in each region through [World Map] → [NPCs & Monsters] tab.

The element shown in monster information indicates their primary attack element. By increasing your resistance to that specific element, you can reduce the damage received from these monsters.
Additionally, your character's elemental attack stats are applied when attacking targets, and damage may be partially reduced based on the target's elemental resistance.

Before engaging in combat, identifying the monster's attack element and preparing the corresponding elemental resistance can help ensure smoother battles.
