If you're having trouble with targeting being frequently lost during combat, try using the method below.

[Setting Up Target Lock]
 1. [Menu] in upper right > [Settings] > [Hunt] tab
2. Under [Controls] category, enable [Maintain selected target when Taping ground while target is selected]
